Chicago Whales 1915 Authentic Wool Ballcap

AN AUTHENTIC REPLICA OF THE FELT WHALE LOGO USED IN 1915

History: The ChiFeds were christened the "Whales" in 1915, their third season. Owner Charles Weeghman was determined to outdo the rival Cubs and White Sox, and built a state-of-the-art ballpark on the North Side. When the Whales’ league folded, Weeghman bought the Cubs and moved them into his own ballpark — Wrigley Field.

This Whales cap pays tribute to that erstwhile Chicago squad, made with brown wool broadcloth and a white felt “C” and blue felt whale.
